At Yarn Cakes & Caffeine (YCAC), we take great care in packaging and preparing your order. Because many of our products are consumable or handcrafted in small batches, our return policy is designed to protect both product quality and customer safety.

Please review our policy carefully before making a purchase.

🌿 All Teas, Coffees & Consumable Items — Final Sale

For health, safety, and quality assurance reasons, all teas, coffees, and consumable products are final sale.

This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Loose-leaf tea

  • Sachets or tea boxes

  • Coffee products

  • Sweeteners or edible add-ons

  • Seasonal consumable items

We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on consumable products.

If you believe your item arrived damaged during shipping, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery (see Damaged Items section below).

☕ Teapots & Teacups — 30-Day Limited Return Policy

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for:

  • Teapots

  • Teacups

Returns are approved only in cases of verified shipping damage.

To qualify:

  • The item must have been damaged during transit.

  • You must contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Clear photos of the damaged item and packaging must be provided.

  • The item must not show signs of improper usage, misuse, or accidental breakage after delivery.

We do not accept returns for:

  • Improper handling or misuse

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Buyer’s remorse

  • Items damaged after successful delivery

If approved, we will offer:

  • A replacement (if available), or

  • Store credit

We do not guarantee refunds to the original payment method.

📦 Shipping Damage Claims

If your order arrives damaged:

  1. Email us within 48 hours of delivery.

  2. Include:

    • Your order number

    • Clear photos of:

      • The damaged item

      • The shipping box

      • Internal packaging

Failure to provide documentation within 48 hours may result in denial of the claim.

🧶 Non-Consumable Accessories

For non-consumable, non-ceramic accessories (e.g., select tea tools or yarn accessories):

  • Returns may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

  • Items must be unused and in original packaging.

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

  • Store credit may be issued at our discretion.

🎁 Gifts

If you received an item as a gift and it qualifies under our policy, store credit may be issued once the item is reviewed and approved.

Consumable items gifted remain final sale.

🛑 Return Shipping

Unless an item is verified as damaged during shipping:

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
